Dr. Alison House, OD, is a native of Alamogordo, New Mexico. In 1987 she received her doctor of optometry degree with honors from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Dr. House then chose Pueblo, Colorado to start her optometry practice later that year. Dr. House was nominated for the Young Optometrist of the Year Award by the Colorado Optometric Association in 1995. She was a founding member of the Southern Colorado Optometric Society and has been an active member since 1994. She also has been very active in the Colorado Optometric Association since 1987 and was President of the Association in 2006-2007. Dr. House was appointed by the Governor to the State Board of Optometry from 2008 to 2016 and served 2 years as president of that Board. Dr. House provides complete eye care to patients of all ages, infants through seniors. She provides comprehensive eye examinations, as well as the diagnosis and management of eye diseases. She provides LASIK consultations and co-manages the pre and post-operative care of refractive and cataract surgery.
